A little bit about us

Our Story
Moonfairi was born from a love of delicate details, timeless design, and the joy of storytelling through paper. Founded in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, our studio is a peaceful space where creativity flourishes. Each piece is designed with love and care, inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us. From the soft hues of wildflowers swaying in the breeze to the comforting scent of fresh cotton paper, we carefully think through every detail to create designs that feel warm, romantic, and full of charm. We are passionate about helping couples bring their wedding vision to life, turning their love story into a tangible keepsake they can cherish forever.

Our Inspiration
Our designs are inspired by the beauty of nature and the soft, dreamlike aesthetic of countryside weddings. Wildflowers, pressed blooms, and delicate pastel tones are at the heart of our collections, creating wedding stationery that feels dreamy and romantic. Drawing from vintage textures, flowing silk ribbons, and intricate patterns, our suites are designed to capture that magical feeling of walking through a meadow in springtime. Whether you’re planning an intimate garden ceremony or a grand country house wedding, our designs are perfect for those seeking a soft and whimsical aesthetic.

Our Craftsmanship
Each piece is lovingly handmade in our Hampshire studio, using carefully sourced materials that reflect the beauty and quality we are known for. From hand-torn deckled edges to silk ribbon bows and wax seals, we believe it’s these delicate details that make our designs so special. We use handmade cotton paper to give our pieces a soft, textured feel, and our envelope liners are individually cut and placed to ensure perfection in every fold. We also strive to source our materials locally where possible, supporting small businesses and ensuring that each element of your stationery is crafted with care. Our goal is to create beautiful, heirloom-quality pieces that you will treasure for years to come.

Hand-pressed Wildflowers
Using a flower press to create digital designs for our wedding stationery is a labor of love. It allows us to blend the timeless beauty of nature with modern design techniques, resulting in unique and captivating pieces that tell your love story in the most enchanting way. All of our stationery have used florals I have hand-pressed myself in my studio, or hand selected from some talented local small businesses.
My designs are printed on high-quality paper, bringing the flowers to life. The result is a collection of exquisite wedding stationery that captures the essence of nature's beauty and the personal touch of handcrafted details.
When I am not pressing flowers, I will be using my sketchpad and watercolours to create a truly whimsical piece, that can then be sculpted into multiple items of stationery such as invitations, table numbers, place cards and signage.
The process in depth
A guide to flower pressing
Step 1: Selecting the Perfect Blooms
Every beautiful piece of stationery begins with selecting the perfect flowers. I carefully choose blooms that are in full, vibrant health, ensuring they are free from blemishes. The flowers I select range from tiny wildflowers to lush garden blooms, each adding its unique charm to the final design.
Step 2: Preparing the Flowers for Pressing
Once I have my flowers, I gently prepare them by removing any excess foliage and trimming the stems. This step is crucial for achieving a smooth, even press.
Step 3: Pressing the Flowers
Next, I carefully place the flowers between the layers of my flower press. Each flower is positioned to maintain its natural beauty, paying attention to the petals and leaves. I then tighten the screws of the press to apply gentle, even pressure. Over the next few weeks, the flowers dry out completely, preserving their color and delicate details.
Step 4: Digitally Scanning the Pressed Flowers
After the flowers are perfectly pressed and dried, they are ready for the next step – digitization. I use a high-resolution scanner to capture every intricate detail of the pressed flowers. This process allows me to preserve the natural texture and vibrant colors of the flowers, ensuring they translate beautifully onto our stationery.
Step 5: Designing the Stationery
With the digital scans ready, I move on to the design phase. Using graphic design software, I integrate the scanned flowers into various wedding stationery items such as invitations, menus, and place cards. Each design is carefully crafted to highlight the natural beauty of the flowers, creating a seamless and elegant pattern that adds a touch of romance to every piece.
Step 6: Printing the Final Designs
Finally, the designs are printed on high-quality paper, bringing the digital flowers to life. The result is a collection of exquisite wedding stationery that captures the essence of nature's beauty and the personal touch of handcrafted details.
